An oil portrait of Samuel Beckett, the writer of Waiting for Godot (a favourite play of mine). Having an aged face gives him more character and gives me something to work with. Portrait painting will get very dull in the Botox era!
I saw the play when I was at school, it can be done seriously (the format I saw then) or more as a slapstick comedy (a version I saw much later in life).
I prefer the serious version.
